Mongongo musings - random stuff about reading and writing and the San
My wobbles, wails and whoops (about self-publishing.)

A bit of background As you may know, I’m a writer and the author of two historical fiction novels about Koba, a young Bushman (San) woman from an indigenous group in southern Africa. The works are based upon my lived experience in the region during the Apartheid years, as well as on my decades-long research into San culture and history. Ethnologically-informed fiction it’s been called, but I think of it as a sweeping romance set during a pivotal time in recent black history.
I'd love to share with you some of the stuff I've learned from the San and some of my reflections on this scary self-publishing journey I'm undertaking on their behalf. And of course I'd love to reward your interest with news of promotions and discounts related to my e-books, audiobooks and new, improved novels. So please subscribe to the newsletter. I'll respect your privacy and you'll only hear from me when I have something important to say.
